The annual festival of an engineering college turned out to be loads of fun for the students and the faculty. A fashion show and the rock performance of Raeth rock band, from Pakistan, kept them all entertained. "I have been really busy these past few days. We all have really worked hard for the annual fest to become a memorable one," said Faizy, one of the coordinators for the event.
The craze for Raeth was evident and as soon as its lead vocalist Wajih came on stage, the crowd welcomed him with a huge round of applause. "I'm really touched by the way the students present here have welcomed me. Singing for them is a real high," said Wajih, who regaled his fans with numbers like Kesariya Balam, Bhula Do and Tum Meri Ho.
The popularity of the band seemed to have attracted even the general public, which was seen lining the roads near the venue to listen to Wajih.
The fashion show too was a hit as students including Vishal, Mayank, Apoorva, Anuj, Payal and Pallavi walked the ramp in trendy ensembles. "You would be surprised to know that we have not hired any of the dresses from outside. We, the engineering students, have designed these dresses ourselves," informed Tanu and Monika. Later, it was the food court that attracted the students.
