The Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay is all set to celebrate its 54th foundation day on Monday, March 11. The premier institute will also inaugurate the new building of biosciences and bioengineering department on the same day, at the convocation hall in the Powai campus.
Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the former President of India, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Professor Devang Khakhar, the director of the institute, will be welcoming the audience on that day followed by the foundation day celebrations. After unveiling the commemorative inscription, the chief guest will be briefly visiting the first floor laboratory of the department in the new building. Kalam will also briefly interact with the students.
After the interaction, distinguished alumnus award, young alumni achiever awards and the faculty awards will be presented by the chief guest. He will also address the audience.
