The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 10, class 12 examination 2012-2013 begun yesterday, i.e. March 1, 2013 across India.This year CBSE has reduced the number of compartmental chances in Class 12 from 5 to 3 and only one chance being given to Class 10 students for the same, called ‘Improvement of performance’.

Steps For Hinder Free Examination
For the smooth conduction of CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations, the board has directed below guidelines to every centre.
1) At least four asstt. superintendents should be present at the time of opening the seal of the question paper packets.
2) Appointment of full time observers at sensitive centres in Delhi and outside has been completed.
3) The Board has also finalized the arrangement with the State machinery, local police to ensure trouble free examinations throughout the country.
4) Scanned photographs of private candidates have been provided on admission cards to avoid impersonation or any other malfunctions.
5) A 3 tier arrangement have been organized for surprise checking at the centres:
a) CBSE flying squads
b) Flying squads from Directorate of Education, Delhi
c) Special observers from outside.
