Allottees of First round shall get documents verified, pay initial fee and obtain provisional admission letter from RC.

NB: Candidates not reporting at the RCs will forfeit their seat allocation automatically and will not be considered for subsequent rounds.

Fresh Allottees of Second Round shall get documents verified, pay initial fee, and obtain provisional admission letter from RC.

Candidates not reporting at the RCs will forfeit their seat allocation automatically and will not be allowed to participate in the Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.

Last date of withdrawal by the provisionally admitted candidates (withdrawals can be done only at reporting centers)

Candidates willing to withdraw from the CSAB have to go to the same RC where they had done provisional admission and complete the withdrawal process on or before July 16, 2013 (04:00 PM).

Upgradation
July 17, 2013

After the two rounds of seat allocation, upgradation will be done on July 17, 2013. The upgradation is based on the choices filled in by the candidates during July 01 – 08, 2013.

Eligible candidates willing to participate in Spot Round and Extra Spot Round allocation must see vacancies.

Registration and Choice filling for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.
The spot round and extra spot round consists of vacant seats available in Government Funded Technical Institutes (NITs, IIITs and CFTIs) and seats of Self-Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs). All SFTIs are Private Institutes.
The following candidates are eligible for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round:
i) Eligible candidates who did not register during July 01 – 08, 2013.
ii) Eligible candidates who have registered but not allocated a seat in the First or Second Round
iii) Candidates whose seats were cancelled at RCs due to change of Gender/Category/PwD Status/State of Eligibility and are still eligible Candidates for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round should physically report to any of the RCs for document verification and locking of choices.
Choice Filling: Two types of choice filling are available. Candidates can fill in choices separately for Spot Round and Extra Spot Round as indicated below:
a) Spot Round (Applicable to both GFTIs and SFTIs)
b) Extra Spot Round (Applicable to SFTIs only)
c) Candidates will not be able to give an identical choice (same branch and same institute) in both Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.
Spot Allocation Process
Vacant seats available after the Spot Round allocation will be allocated to the candidates in Extra Spot Round.

July 17-20, 2013
(WED – SAT)
· Candidates have to register, fill in the choices, save the choices and make the payment. Candidates have to lock choices after document verification at RCs only.
Candidates who have registered during July 01 – 08, 2013 are not required to register again. The Previous filled in choices will be retained for spot round (not for extra spot round) except for which seats are not available. However, the candidate can fill in new choices for Spot Round or Extra Spot Round or for both. Candidates are not permitted fill in identical choices (same branch and same institute) in both Spot Round and Extra Spot Round.
Candidates those who have not registered during July 01 – 08, 2013, are required to register online from places convenient to them or in any Help Centre. They have to fill in choices for Spot Round or Extra Spot Round or for both. Candidates are not permitted fill in identical choices (same branch and same institute) in both Spot Round and Extra Spot Round. Guidance and internet facility will be available at Reporting/Help Centers.
· Candidates should lock the choices by 05:00 PM of July 20, 2013.

(a) Spot round seat allocation and automatic admission to GFTIs as well as to SFTIs and the fee deposited is non-refundable.
(b) Extra Spot Round allocation to SFTIs and the fee deposited is refundable.

Getting admitted to Allocated Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) and Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs) against Spot Round allocation.
July 22- 26, 2013
(MON - FRI)
· Get documents verified at allocated institute
· CSAB will send the collected fee to the allocated institutes.
· The excess in dues if any will be adjusted in the second semester; however, deficit amount has to be paid at the time reporting to the institutes.
· The collected fee will be sent to the allocated Institute by CSAB even if the candidate does not take admission there.
· Of course, the collected fee (minus one thousand) will be refunded to the candidate by CSAB in case there is no seat allocation.
· Start attending classes immediately.

Getting admitted to Allocated Institutes (Self-Financed Institutes only) against Extra Spot Round.
July 22- 26, 2013
(MON - FRI)
· Get documents verified at allocated institute
· Show admission letter.· CSAB-2013 will not collect any fee from the candidates nor will pay anything to the Institute.
· The Institute will collect all applicable fees from the candidates in a fair and transparent manner.
· Start attending classes immediately.
